Issued 9:30 AM NST 22 December 2024 Today Tonight and Monday At 9:30 a.m. NST today low 966 mb located over northern BelleIsle Bank.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Monday low 963 mb located southeast of Greenland.
At 4:00 a.m. NST Monday approaching ridge located over northern
Quebec.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:06 AM NST 22 December 2024 An intense low pressure system will track southeast of the marinedistrict today and move east of Greenland tonight and Monday. Gale to
storm force northerlies will shift to strong to gale force
northwesterlies by this evening. Winds will further diminish to
moderate to strong northwesterlies overnight and Monday morning as
the low departs.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
South Labrador Coast, Mid Labrador Coast, South Labrador Sea, and
East Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters.
