By 4:00 p.m. NST Sunday low 980 mb located over the North Labrador
Coast.
At 4:00 p.m. NST today trough located on a line north-south over
the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Sunday intensifying low 976 mb located northeast
of Belle Isle Bank.
At 4:00 p.m. NST today ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the East Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 p.m. NST tonight ridge located east of the Marine District.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:53 PM NST 16 February 2019 A low pressure system northeast of Anticosti Island will move to lieover the North Labrador Coast Sunday morning. Strong to gale force
winds will develop over the region with this system tonight and will
persist on Sunday.
A second low will develop northeast of Belle Isle Bank Sunday
afternoon and intensify as it moves to lie over the East Labrador Sea
late Sunday evening. Gale to storm force easterlies will develop over
the East Labrador Sea Sunday evening ahead of this feature.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
the East Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters except the North Labrador Coast - Saglek and south.
