By 4:00 p.m. NST today departing low 982 mb located southeast
of Greenland.
At 9:30 a.m. NST today ridge located over western Labrador.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Monday ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Labrador Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:20 AM NST 18 January 2026 A low pressure system east of the Labrador Sea will continue movingeastward to lie southeast of Greenland by this afternoon. Gale to
storm force westerlies to northwesterlies will gradually diminish
today as the low pulls away.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
North Labrador Coast, Northwest Labrador Sea, and East Labrador Sea.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all regions with open water.
