Issued 9:30 AM NDT 13 May 2025 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 9:30 a.m. NDT today quasi-stationary low 991 mb located southeastof the Marine District.
At 9:30 a.m. NDT today ridge located over western Labrador.
By 4:00 a.m. NDT Wednesday ridge located on a line north-south
over central Labrador.
At 9:30 a.m. NDT Wednesday approaching low 986 mb located over
northern Quebec.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:27 AM NDT 13 May 2025 A low pressure system southeast of the marine district will staynearly stationary through Wednesday while gradually weakening. Strong
to gale force northwesterlies over much of the district will slowly
diminish as the low weakens and a ridge of high pressure approaches
from the west.
Another low approaching from the west is forecast to track across
Northern Quebec on Wednesday. Strong to gale force southerlies will
develop over northern waters ahead of this system.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Lake Melville.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Mid Labrador Coast, South Labrador Sea, and Northwest
Labrador Sea.
