By 9:30 a.m. NST Sunday trough located on a line northwest-southeast
over the Northwest Labrador Sea.
At 4:00 a.m. NST Sunday approaching low 949 mb located over the
southwestern Grand Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:19 AM NST 4 January 2025 A trough of low pressure over the South Labrador Sea will move veryslowly northward today. Gale force easterlies to southeasterlies
north of the trough are expected to diminish by this afternoon.
A low pressure system is expected to approach from the south on
Sunday. Strong to gale force easterlies to southeasterlies are
expected to spread across southern waters late on Sunday north of the
low.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters.
