Wind diminishing to southeast 15 to 20 Thursday afternoon except north 25 to 35 over northern sections.

Snow beginning near midnight becoming rain or snow Thursday morning. Fog patches forming Thursday morning. Visibility 1 mile or less in snow and in fog patches.

Temperatures minus 8 to minus 3 rising to minus 4 to plus 1 Thursday morning.

Issued 9:30 AM NDT 22 April 2026 Today Tonight and Thursday At 9:30 a.m. NDT today low 1020 mb located over the southern
Northwest Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 p.m. NDT today dissipating low 1022 mb located over the
southern Northwest Labrador Sea.

At 9:30 a.m. NDT today trough located on a line north-south over
Funk Island Bank.
By 9:30 a.m. NDT Thursday trough located on a line north-south
over Labrador Sea.

At 9:30 a.m. NDT today ridge located on a line north-south over
Labrador.
By 4:00 p.m. NDT today quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
north-south over the Torngat Mountains.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:24 AM NDT 22 April 2026 A trough of low pressure is forecast to approach the district from
the southeast this evening and move to lie along the Labrador coast
on Thursday afternoon. Strong to gale force northerlies will develop
to the west of the trough.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for Mid
Labrador Coast and North Labrador Coast.
