5527W to 5437N 5657W to 5552N 6004W to 5759N 6127W to Labrador near
6014N 6422W. Sea ice west of the ice edge.

Ice Coverage

Open water except 8 tenths new ice including 2 tenths grey ice along
parts of the coast. Consolidated grey ice in the extreme western
section.

Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 PM NST 10 December 2024 Tonight and Wednesday At 4:00 p.m. NST today low 989 mb located northeast of Belle
Isle Bank.
By 9:30 p.m. NST tonight departing low 990 mb located southeast
of Greenland.

At 4:00 p.m. NST today ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Labrador.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Wednesday ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:53 PM NST 10 December 2024 A low pressure system located northeast of Belle Isle Bank will track
northeastward to lie southeast of Greenland by this evening. Gale to
storm force north to northwesterlies over southern waters will
gradually diminish tonight as the low departs.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
South Labrador Sea - southeastern half. Gale warnings are in effect
for South Labrador Coast and East Labrador Sea - southeastern half.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for South Labrador Coast and Mid Labrador Coast.
