By 4:00 a.m. NDT Wednesday low 945 mb located over the North
Labrador Coast.
At 4:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 p.m. NDT today departing ridge located east of the Marine
District.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:51 AM NDT 17 March 2026 A deepening low pressure system will track northwards across Quebectoday and move over North Labrador Coast overnight. Gale to storm
force southerly to easterly winds will develop over all waters ahead
of the system, then shift to storm to hurricane force southwesterly
to northwesterlies behind it.
Marine interests are advised that hurricane force wind warnings are
in effect for North Labrador Coast - north of Saglek and Northwest
Labrador Sea. Storm warnings are in effect for Mid Labrador Coast,
South Labrador Sea, and East Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in
effect for all remaining waters.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
