Issued 4:00 PM NST 5 March 2026 Tonight and Friday At 4:00 p.m. NST today trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over the southern East Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 p.m. NST tonight departing trough located southeast of
the Marine District.

At 4:00 p.m. NST today trough located over Ungava Bay.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Friday departing trough located southeast of the
Marine District.

At 4:00 p.m. NST Friday approaching ridge located over western
Labrador.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:54 PM NST 5 March 2026 A trough of low pressure over the Southern East Labrador Sea will
depart to the southeast of the marine district tonight. A second
trough approaching from the north will sweep southeastward to cross
the East Labrador Sea tonight. Gale to storm force northwesterlies
behind the first trough will give way to strong to gale force
northwesterlies behind the second trough.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
South Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters except Lake Melville and North Labrador Coast - Saglek and
south.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all regions with open water.
