Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:21 AM NST 24 November 2017 A low pressure system over the South Labrador Sea will track
northwestwards to lie north of the Northwest Labrador Sea tonight.
Gale force southeasterlies over eastern waters will spread westward
and intensify to storm force ahead of this system. Strong to gale
force west to northwesterlies will develop over western waters today
as the low crosses the Labrador Sea.
A second low will approach from the west on Saturday. Gales force
southerlies will develop ahead of this system over southernmost
waters on Saturday night.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
the East Labrador Sea - northeastern half. Gale warnings are in
effect for all remaining waters except Lake Melville.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except the East Labrador Sea.
