Issued 4:00 AM NDT 7 October 2026 Today Tonight and Thursday At 4:00 a.m. NDT today low 978 mb located over the South Labrador
Sea.
By 4:00 a.m. NDT Thursday low 986 mb located south of Greenland.

At 4:00 p.m. NDT today ridge located over western Labrador.
By 4:00 p.m. NDT Thursday ridge located over the South Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:49 AM NDT 7 October 2026 A low pressure system over the South Labrador Sea will continue
tracking northeastward to lie south of Greenland by overnight
tonight, continuing eastward on Thursday.

Gale to storm force north to northeasterlies ahead of the low will
shift to strong to gale force northwesterlies behind the low through
today. Winds will gradually diminish through tonight as a ridge
approaches from the west.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
East Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters except Lake Melville.
