Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 PM NST 12 November 2019 Tonight and Wednesday At 4:00 p.m. NST today quasi-stationary trough located north of
the Marine District.

At 4:00 p.m. NST today low 1000 mb located over New Brunswick.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Wednesday deepening low 980 mb located over the
Mid Labrador Coast.

At 4:00 p.m. NST today ridge located over Labrador.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Wednesday ridge located on a line east-west over
northern Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:55 PM NST 12 November 2019 A trough of low pressure north of the marine district will continue
to weaken tonight. Strong to gale force westerlies south of the
trough will diminish by morning.

A low pressure system over the Maritimes will rapidly intensify as it
moves to lie over the Labrador Sea Wednesday night. Strong to gale
force northeasterlies will develop overnight tonight ahead of the low
before shifting to gale to storm force northwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Mid Labrador Coast and South Labrador Sea - northwestern half.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Lake Melville, Mid Labrador Coast, and North Labrador
Coast.
