Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:48 AM NDT 25 September 2020 A low pressure system over the Northern Labrador Sea will remain
nearly stationary today before beginning to move southeastwards
tonight. Gale to storm force southeast to northeasterlies can be
expected to the north of the low this morning, with strong to gale
force northwest to southwesterlies to its south. Winds will intensify
to gale to storm force northwesterlies in the wake of the low by this
evening as it begins to track southeastwards.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
North Labrador Coast, South Labrador Sea, Northwest Labrador Sea -
southern half, and East Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in effect for
all remaining waters except Lake Melville and South Labrador Coast.
