By 4:00 p.m. NDT Thursday low 989 mb located east of the East
Labrador Sea.
At 4:00 p.m. NDT Thursday building ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Labrador Coast.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:52 PM NDT 2 April 2025 An intense low pressure system over the South Labrador Sea willremain nearly stationary tonight, then gradually track northwards on
Thursday. Storm to hurricane force north to northwesterlies this
evening will diminish to strong to gale force northwesterlies
overnight and on Thursday.
Marine interests are advised that hurricane force wind warnings are
in effect for South Labrador Coast, Mid Labrador Coast, and South
Labrador Sea. Storm warnings are in effect for all remaining waters
except Lake Melville.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
