Issued 9:30 AM NST 21 December 2024 Today Tonight and Sunday At 9:30 a.m. NST today intensifying low 988 mb located south ofNova Scotia.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Sunday low 9694 mb located over Belle Isle Bank.
At 9:30 a.m. NST today ridge located over northern Belle Isle Bank.
By 4:00 p.m. NST today dissipating ridge located on a line east-west
over the South Labrador Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:09 AM NST 21 December 2024 A rapidly intensifying low pressure system will approach from thesouth tonight and track southeast of the marine district on Sunday.
Strong to gale force northeasterlies will develop tonight and Sunday
over all waters ahead of the low. Over southernmost waters, winds
will further increase to gale to storm force northerlies by Sunday.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
South Labrador Coast, Mid Labrador Coast, South Labrador Sea, and
East Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters.
