Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:00 AM NST 30 November 2022 Today Tonight and Thursday At 3:00 a.m. NST today low 966 mb located northeast of the Marine
District.
By 3:30 p.m. NST today departing low 964 mb located east of
Greenland.

By 3:00 a.m. NST Thursday approaching trough located on a line
north-south over New Brunswick.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line north-south over
the Maritimes.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Thursday ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over the eastern Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:59 AM NST 30 November 2022 An intense low pressure system located northeast of the marine
district will continue to track northeastward today. Gale force
northwesterlies over northeastern waters will gradually diminish
later today.

A trough of low pressure will approach from the west tonight and
track eastward across Newfoundland to lie over Eastern Newfoundland
by the end of the forecast period. Gale to storm force
southeasterlies will spread across all waters ahead of the trough on
Thursday.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Gulf waters, Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast and Northeast
Coast. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, and
Belle Isle Bank.
