District.
By 10:00 a.m. AST Saturday ridge located east of the Marine
District.

At 3:00 a.m. AST Saturday low 985 mb located over northwestern
Quebec.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Saturday low 984 mb located northeast of Anticosti
Island.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:51 PM AST 19 January 2018 A low pressure system currently over Northern Ontario will track
eastward across Quebec Saturday morning to lie near Anticosti Island
by Saturday afternoon. Strong to gale force south to southwesterly
winds are forecast over much of the district on Saturday ahead of
this system.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Fundy, Grand Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank, southwestern
shore, LaHave Bank, West Scotian Slope, eastern shore, Sable, East
Scotian Slope, Fourchu, Banquereau, Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait and
Gulf-Magdalen.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Northumberland Strait-eastern half, Gulf-Magdalen and
Anticosti.
