Issued 10:00 AM AST 12 December 2019 Today Tonight and Friday At 10:00 a.m. AST today low 1015 mb located over eastern AnticostiIsland.
By 3:30 p.m. AST today departing low 1014 mb located east of the
Marine District.
At 10:00 a.m. AST today ridge located on a line north-south over
the Great Lakes.
By 3:30 p.m. AST Friday ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Laurentian Fan.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:47 AM AST 12 December 2019 A low pressure system near Anticosti Island will pass east of themarine district this afternoon. As a result strong to gale force
northwesterlies will develop across the district today and could
possibly approach storm force over northernmost waters. Winds are
expected to diminish over most waters later today and tonight as a
ridge of high pressure approaches from the west.
On Friday moderate to strong southerlies will develop over western
waters late in the day as a low pressure system approaches from the
southwest.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Fundy.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Cabot Strait, Northumberland Strait, Gulf-Magdalen,
Chaleur-Miscou and Anticosti.
