By 10:00 a.m. AST Thursday trough located over the Gulf of Maine.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:23 AM AST 14 January 2026 A trough of low pressure will approach today and cross the marine
district on Thursday. Strong to gale force southerlies will develop
over southern and eastern waters ahead of this feature.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Georges Bank, southwestern shore, LaHave Bank, West Scotian Slope,
eastern shore, Sable, East Scotian Slope, Fourchu, Banquereau,
Laurentian Fan, and Cabot Strait.
