Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:47 AM AST 12 November 2018 A deep low pressure system off the South Labrador Coast will continue
moving eastward today. Strong to gale force westerly winds in the
wake of this disturbance will gradually diminish as the low moves
further away from the district and a ridge of high pressure builds in
from the west.
A second low pressure system will develop along the eastern us
seaboard Tuesday morning and will rapidly intensify as it tracks
northeastward towards the Maritimes. Increasing southeasterly winds
will reach gale, or possibly storm force, over southwestern waters
ahead of this low pressure system.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
