Issued 3:30 PM ADT 16 May 2026 Tonight and Sunday At 3:30 p.m. ADT today departing low 992 mb located northeast
of Newfoundland.

At 3:30 p.m. ADT today ridge located southwest of the Marine
District.
By 10:00 a.m. ADT Sunday ridge located southeast of the Marine
District.

At 3:00 a.m. ADT Sunday trough located over the St. Lawrence River.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Sunday trough located over Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:15 PM ADT 16 May 2026 Gale force westerlies over Southern Banquereau and Laurentian Fan
will diminish this evening as a low pressure system northeast of
Newfoundland continues to pull away.

A trough of low pressure will cross the marine district on Sunday.
Strong southwesterlies ahead of the trough will increase to strong to
gale force northwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Banquereau - southern half, Laurentian Fan, Gulf - Magdalen -
northeastern half and Anticosti.
