Marine Weather StatementIssued 2:52 AM AST 12 December 2018 An intensifying low pressure system currently south of the Scotian
Slope will move to lie near Laurentian Fan later this morning.
This will give strong to gale force north to northeasterlies to slope
waters which will increase to gale to storm force northerlies for
Laurentian Fan waters. Cold strong to gale force northerlies
developing behind the low will give freezing spray to parts of the
north and western marine district.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Laurentian Fan. Gale warnings are in effect for Sable, East Scotian
Slope, Banquereau-southeastern half, Cabot Strait, Northumberland
Strait-eastern half and Gulf-Magdalen-eastern half.
In addition, freezing spray warnings are in effect for Fundy, Grand
Manan, Lurcher, southwestern shore, eastern shore, Fourchu, Cabot
Strait, Northumberland Strait, Gulf-Magdalen, Chaleur-Miscou and
