Issued 3:00 AM AST 26 February 2020 Today Tonight and Thursday At 3:00 a.m. AST today low 1009 mb located over Laurentian Fan.
By 3:30 p.m. AST today departing low 1009 mb located east of
Banquereau.

At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight intensifying low 1002 mb located southeast
of the Great Lakes.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Thursday low 986 mb located over southern Maine.

At 3:00 a.m. AST today ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the western Marine District.
By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight weakening ridge located from the Gulf of
St. Lawrence to East Scotian Slope.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:35 AM AST 26 February 2020 A low pressure system over Laurentian Fan at forecast time will move
northeast out of the district this morning. Strong southwesterlies
are expected south of the low early this morning before diminishing
to light to moderate northerlies behind it.

A second low pressure system will intensify southeast of the Great
Lakes this evening and will approach the district on Thursday to lie
over Southern Maine by Thursday evening. Strengthening easterlies
ahead of this low will reach gale force across the district on
Thursday. Those easterly gales are also expected to briefly reach
storm force Thursday afternoon for Grand Manan and Lurcher.
Over southwestern waters, winds will shift to gale force
southwesterlies Thursday evening.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Grand Manan and Lurcher. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Gulf-Magdalen, Chaleur-Miscou, and Anticosti.
