Issued 10:00 AM AST 16 November 2018 Today Tonight and Saturday At 10:00 a.m. AST today departing ridge located over the eastern
Marine District.

At 10:00 a.m. AST today low 993 mb located southwest of the Marine
District.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Saturday low 985 mb located near Cape Breton
Island.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:48 AM AST 16 November 2018 An approaching low pressure system will track along Nova Scotia today
from the southwest to the northeast. As this low pressure system
tracks through the marine district gale to storm force easterlies
will develop ahead and south of the low, while strong to gale force
northeasterlies will develop north of it. Winds will then switch to
strong to gale force westerlies behind this system except over
southern and eastern waters where gale to storm force westerlies are
expected.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank, southwestern shore, LaHave Bank,
West Scotian Slope, eastern shore, Sable , East Scotian Slope and
Banquereau. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters
except Chaleur-Miscou, and Anticosti.
