Issued 3:00 AM AST 17 December 2018 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 3:00 a.m. AST today deepening low 999 mb located south of
Cape Cod.
By 3:30 p.m. AST today low 987 mb located south of Nova Scotia.

At 3:00 a.m. AST Tuesday low 976 mb located near Cape Breton Island.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Tuesday high mb located south of Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:50 AM AST 17 December 2018 A low pressure system south of Cape Cod will redevelop south of Nova
Scotia this morning then intensify as it tracks near Cape Breton
Island tonight. Strong to gale force easterly winds will spread ahead
of this system across most of the marine district today. Gale force
west to northwesterlies will develop across the entire district in
the wake of the low later tonight and Tuesday, and these winds may
reach near storm force over some Gulf waters later on Tuesday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
marine waters.

Marine interests are also advised that higher than normal water
levels and heavy pounding surf is expected on Tuesday along the Îles
de la Madeleine, as well as north-facing coastlines of Western Cape
Breton, St Georges Bay, and Eastern Prince Edward Island.
