off Labrador Coast.
At 3:00 a.m. AST Wednesday approaching ridge located southwest of
the Marine District.

Issued 9:47 AM AST 20 January 2026 A broad low pressure system centered over Western Labrador thismorning will intensify as it moves northeast to lie off of the
Labrador coast late tonight then remain generally stationary
Wednesday. Gale to near storm force southwest winds are expected
south and west of this low.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
eastern shore - eastern half, Sable - eastern half, Fourchu,
Banquereau, Cabot Strait, and all Gulf of St. Lawrence waters.
Marine interests are advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Fundy, Grand Manan, southwestern shore, eastern shore,
Fourchu, Banquereau - northwestern half, Cabot Strait, and all Gulf
