Issued 3:00 AM AST 20 January 2026 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 3:00 a.m. AST today low 1001 mb located over eastern Quebec.
By 3:30 p.m. AST today intensifying low 994 mb located over
Labrador.

At 3:00 a.m. AST Wednesday quasi-stationary low 981 mb located
off Labrador Coast.

At 3:00 a.m. AST Wednesday approaching ridge located southwest of
the Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:48 AM AST 20 January 2026 A broad low pressure system centered over Eastern Quebec this morning
will intensify as it moves northeast to lie off of the Labrador coast
late tonight then remain generally stationary Wednesday. Gale to near
storm force southwest winds are expected south and west of this low.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Lurcher, Browns Bank, southwestern shore, LaHave Bank, eastern shore,
Sable, Fourchu, Banquereau, Cabot Strait, and all Gulf of St.
Lawrence waters.

Marine interests are advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Fundy, Grand Manan, southwestern shore, eastern shore,
Fourchu, Banquereau - northwestern half, Cabot Strait, and all Gulf
of St. Lawrence waters.
