the Gulf of Maine.
At 3:00 a.m. AST today ridge located over the East Coast of the U.S.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Wednesday weakening ridge located south of
Nova Scotia.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:47 AM AST 10 February 2026 A low pressure system will emerge in the Gulf of Maine on Wednesdayand deepen as it passes south of Nova Scotia. Strong to gale force
east to southeast winds are expected to develop ahead of and north of
the track of the low. Gale force westerlies are expected to develop
south of the low Wednesday evening.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Sable, East Scotian Slope, and Laurentian Fan. A freezing spray
warning is in effect for Anticosti.
