Newfoundland.
By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight departing low 997 mb located northeast
of Newfoundland.

At 3:30 p.m. AST today intensifying low 994 mb located southwest
of Georges Bank.
By 10:00 a.m. AST Friday low 990 mb located south of Laurentian Fan.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:19 PM AST 18 January 2018 A low pressure system currently southwest of Georges Bank will
continue to intensify this evening and track south of the marine
district tonight and Friday. Increasing northeasterly winds ahead of
this system will reach gale force over southwestern waters this
evening and spread eastward across southern waters throughout Friday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Georges Bank, West Scotian Slope, East Scotian Slope and Laurentian
Fan.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Gulf-Magdalen and Anticosti.
