Island.
At 10:00 a.m. AST Wednesday low 976 mb located over eastern
Newfoundland.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Wednesday low 974 mb located over southern
Labrador.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 10:15 AM AST 2 March 2021 An intense low pressure system will briefly stall over AnticostiIsland today. This evening, the low will begin tracking
east-southeast to lie over Eastern Newfoundland by Wednesday morning.
Gale to storm force northwesterlies are expected in its wake.
Winds are expected to gradually diminish through the day Wednesday.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Grand Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank, West Scotian Slope,
East Scotian Slope, Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait, Gulf-Magdalen,
Chaleur-Miscou and Anticosti-western-half. Gale warnings are in
effect for all remaining maritime waters. Freezing spray warnings are
also in effect for all ice-free waters.
