Technical Marine SynopsisIssued 8:00 PM ADT 26 March 2019 Tonight and Wednesday At 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight quasi-stationary trough located south of
the Marine District.
At 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over the Great Lakes.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Wednesday ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over Nova Scotia.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 7:32 PM ADT 26 March 2019 A trough of low pressure will persist south of the district tonight
and Wednesday. Moderate to strong northerly winds over the slope
waters will increase to strong northeasterlies this evening. Over the
southern half of Laurentian Fan, those northeasterlies are forecast
to reach gale force on Wednesday as the trough intensifies. Elsewhere
across the district generally moderate to strong northwesterlies will
prevail tonight and Wednesday with occasional freezing spray expected
over most northern waters.
Marine interests are advised that a gale warning is in effect for
Laurentian Fan - southern half. Freezing spray warnings are in effect
for Cabot Strait, Gulf-Magdalen, Chaleur-Miscou, and Anticosti.
