Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:47 PM ADT 23 March 2025 A trough of low pressure over Banquereau will track eastward acrossNewfoundland tonight. Strong to gale force northwesterly winds are
forecast in the wake of the trough.
A second trough of low pressure will approach the marine district
late on Monday. Strong to gale force southerlies will develop ahead
of this feature over western waters.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Grand Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank, eastern shore - eastern half,
Sable - eastern half. East Scotian Slope, Fourchu, Banquereau,
Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait, Gulf-Magdalen - northeastern half, and
Anticosti - southwestern half. Marine interests are also advised a
freezing spray warning is in effect for Anticosti.
