Issued 8:00 PM AST 17 February 2025 Tonight and Tuesday At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight low 963 mb located over the Gulf of
St. Lawrence.
By 10:00 a.m. AST Tuesday low 969 mb located northeast of
Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:53 PM AST 17 February 2025 An intense low pressure system over the Gulf of St. Lawrence will
continue tracking northeastward tonight to lie northeast of
Newfoundland Tuesday morning. Gale to storm force westerly winds will
begin to gradually diminish late in the day on Tuesday as the low
pulls away from the region.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
all waters except Fundy, Grand Manan, Banquereau, Cabot Strait -
southern half, Northumberland Strait - eastern half, Gulf - Magdalen
- northern half and Anticosti. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters except Anticosti northeastern half.

Freezing spray warnings are in effect for all regions with open water
except Georges Bank, West Scotian Slope, East Scotian Slope,
Laurentian Fan and Anticosti.
