Labrador Sea.
At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight cold front from low located from Labrador
to Cape Cod.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Wednesday departing cold front located over
Laurentian Fan.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:29 PM AST 10 December 2019 A low pressure system over Labrador will track northeastward to lieover the Labrador this evening. Gale force south to southwest winds
over eastern waters will diminish to strong to gale force
southwesterlies this evening. Tonight an associated cold front will
sweep across the Gulf of St. Lawrence ushering in a cold
northwesterly flow. The weakening cold front will move across the
slope waters on Wednesday. A period of gales and freezing spray are
expected over extreme northern waters in the wake of the front.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except for Fundy, Grand Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank,
Northumberland Strait - western half, and Chaleur-Miscou.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Chaleur-Miscou and Anticosti.
