Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 8:00 PM ADT 5 October 2026 Tonight and Tuesday At 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight low located over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 10:00 a.m. ADT Tuesday intensifying low located over the Quebec
Lower North Shore.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:50 PM ADT 5 October 2026 A low pressure system will continue to intensify tonight as it moves
into the Lower North Shore of Quebec. Strong to gale force
southeasterlies are expected ahead of this system. Strong to gale
force westerlies are expected across the district on Tuesday in the
wake of this low, with winds possibly reaching near storm force over
Gulf of St. Lawrence waters.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Fundy, eastern shore, Sable, Fourchu, Banquereau, Cabot Strait, and
all Gulf of St. Lawrence waters.
