Marine District.
At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight low 1006 mb located near Long Island.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Monday intensifying low 996 mb located over the
Gulf of Maine.
At 3:00 a.m. AST today ridge located west of the Marine District.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Monday ridge located from Anticosti Island to
Laurentian Fan.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:32 AM AST 9 November 2025 A trough of low pressure system over Laurentian Fan will move off tothe east today. Gale force southwest winds over the southeastern half
of Laurentian Fan will diminish to strong northwesterlies early this
morning.
A low pressure system will approach the marine district from the
southwest tonight and Monday and will move to lie over the Gulf of
Maine Monday evening. Winds will increase to strong to gale force
southeasterlies tonight and Monday ahead of the low.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Lurcher, Browns Bank, southwestern shore, LaHave Bank, eastern shore,
Sable, Fourchu, Laurentian Fan - southeastern half, Cabot Strait, and
the Gulf of St. Lawrence waters.
Outlook for the start-up of the Southwest New Brunswick lobster
fishery.
