Issued 3:30 PM ADT 17 October 2019 Tonight and Friday At 3:30 p.m. ADT today low 974 mb located over northern New England.
By 3:00 a.m. ADT Friday low 984 mb located over the Gaspe Peninsula.

At 3:30 p.m. ADT Friday low 988 mb located over the Quebec Lower
North Shore.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:45 PM ADT 17 October 2019 An intense low pressure system currently over Northern New England
will move northward to lie over the Gaspé Peninsula Friday morning.
Winds increase to gale to storm force easterlies ahead of the low
then shift to strong to gale force southwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
eastern shore - eastern half, Sable - eastern half, East Scotian
Slope - eastern half, Fourchu, Cabot Strait, Northumberland Strait,
Gulf - Magdalen, Chaleur - Miscou, and Anticosti.

Gale warnings are in effect for Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank,
southwestern shore, LaHave Bank, West Scotian Slope, Banquereau, and
Laurentian Fan.

High water level warnings are in effect for Chaleur - Miscou and
Anticosti.

Also, rough surf and higher than normal water levels can be expected
along eastern portions of the Atlantic Coast of Nova Scotia early
this evening, and over portions of Northumberland Strait and the
Gulf of St. Lawrence this evening and overnight.
