By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight departing low 982 mb located over northern
Labrador.
At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight cold front from low located from Labrador
to Cape Cod.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Wednesday departing cold front located over
Laurentian Fan.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:37 AM AST 10 December 2019 A developing low pressure system over Western Quebec will tracknortheastward to lie over Northern Labrador by this evening. Gale to
near storm force south to southwest winds are expected across the
district this morning associated with this low. Winds will diminish
to strong to gale force southwesterlies later today. Tonight an
associated cold front will sweep across the Gulf of St. Lawrence
ushering in a cold northwesterly flow. The weakening cold front will
move across slope waters on Wednesday. A period of gales and freezing
spray are expected over extreme northern waters in the wake of the
front.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters. Freezing spray warnings are in effect for Chaleur-Miscou and
Anticosti.
