Issued 3:30 PM AST 18 February 2019 Tonight and Tuesday At 3:30 p.m. AST today quasi-stationary low located over LabradorSea.
At 3:30 p.m. AST today intensifying low 1003 mb located over
southern Georges Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Tuesday departing low 985 mb located southeast
of Laurentian Fan.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:50 AM AST 18 February 2019 A low pressure system will approach the southwestern district thismorning and intensify as it moves to lie southeast of Laurentian Fan
overnight tonight. Strong to gale force northwesterlies and cold
temperatures will develop in the wake of the low.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Banquereau, Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait, Gulf-Magdalen -
northeastern half and Anticosti.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except Georges Bank, West Scotian Slope,
Northumberland Strait, Gulf-Magdalen - southwestern half and
Chaleur-Miscou.
