New Brunswick.
By 3:00 a.m. AST today low 972 mb located east of Labrador.

At 3:00 a.m. AST today trough located on a line north-south over
western Nova Scotia.
By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight trough located east of the Marine District.

At 10:00 a.m. AST Thursday deepening low 1011 mb located south of
West Scotian Slope.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Thursday low 1002 mb located east of Laurentian

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:50 AM AST 24 January 2018 A low pressure system over Northern New Brunswick early this morning
will move across Southern Labrador this evening while a trough of low
pressure moves across the district. South to southeast gales
affecting most of the district ahead of the trough will occasionally
reach storm force over some northern waters early this morning before
shifting to strong to gale force southwesterlies later this morning
behind the trough. Strong to gale force westerlies will persist over
northernmost waters tonight and Thursday while southern waters will
see generally strong northwesterlies. Colder air moving back over
much of the district tonight and Thursday will bring occasional
freezing spray over northern waters as well as over southern coastal

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
northern half of Cabot Strait, northern half of Gulf-Magdalen, and
southeast half of Anticosti. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters except Fundy, Grand Manan, and Lurcher.

Freezing spray warnings are in effect for Fundy, Grand Manan,
Lurcher, southwestern shore, eastern shore, Fourchu, northwestern
half of Banquereau, Cabot Strait, Northumberland Strait,
Gulf-Magdalen, Chaleur-Miscou, and Anticosti.
