Issued 3:00 AM AST 26 November 2022 Today Tonight and Sunday At 3:00 a.m. AST today trough located on a line north-south over
the central Marine District.
By 10:00 a.m. AST today trough from 982 mb low located from Cape
Breton Island to Laurentian Fan.

At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight low 964 mb located over the eastern
Marine District.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Sunday departing low 964 mb located over
southeastern Laurentian Fan.

At 10:00 a.m. AST Sunday ridge located over the Marine District.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Sunday approaching low 990 mb located near the
Great Lakes.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 6:51 AM AST 26 November 2022 A trough of low pressure over the central marine district will
intensify into a low pressure system over eastern marine waters on
Sunday. Gale to storm force winds are expected over most waters in
the vicinity of the low.

Marine interests are advised that hurricane force warnings are in
effect for East Scotian Slope - eastern half and Laurentian Fan.
Storm warnings are in effect for West Scotian Slope, eastern shore,
Sable, East Scotian Slope - western half, Fourchu, Banquereau, Cabot
Strait- southern half, Northumberland Strait - eastern half and Gulf
- Magdalen - southeastern half. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters except Chaleur - Miscou - western half and
Anticosti.

Outlook for the start of the Southwest Nova lobster fishery.

Monday...

Lfa33: winds southwest 40 knots becoming west 25 near noon and
shifting to northwest 25 in the afternoon. Seas 1 to 2 metres
building to 3 metres in the morning.

Lfa34: winds southwest 35 knots shifting to west 25 by mid morning
then northwest 25 in the evening. Seas 1 to 2 metres building to 2 to
3 metres in the morning.

Tuesday...

Lfa33: winds northwest 20 knots diminishing to 10 to 15 by noon then
light. Seas 2 metres diminishing to 1 metre near noon.

Lfa34: winds northwest 20 knots diminishing to 10 to 15 by noon then
light in the afternoon. Seas 1 to 2 metres diminishing to 1 late in
the afternoon.

Wednesday...

Lfa33: winds light increasing to south 15 in the afternoon and south
25 in the evening. Seas 1 metre increasing to 1 to 2 in the
afternoon.

Lfa34: winds light increasing to southerly 20 knots near noon and to
25 to 30 in the afternoon. Seas 1 metre.

Higher than normal water levels are expected this evening for parts
of Northern Prince Edward Island. For New Brunswick there is a
similar threat for the Bay of Chaleur and also for northeast facing
shorelines from the Acadian Peninsula south to Kent County. There is
also a storm surge warning in effect for Antigonish County for this
evening. There may be minor flooding and overwash near high tide
between 5:00 and 8:00 P.M.
