Showers this morning and tonight changing to flurries overnight. Risk of thunderstorms late this afternoon and early this evening. Visibility 1 mile or less in precipitation.

Issued 11:30 AM EDT 16 March 2026 Conditions are favourable for the development of squalls with wind gusts up to 45 knots, hail and poor to very poor visibility in thunderstorms heavy at times.

When: this afternoon and early evening

Poor to very poor visibility may contribute to voyage delays and make marine navigation hazardous. Mariners are advised to prepare for potential squalls. Vulnerable vessels are most at risk and should seek safe harbour if underway. Delay travel or if underway, reduce speed or return to port if safe to do so.
