Marine Weather StatementIssued 2:50 AM AST 21 November 2018 A low pressure system moving along the Atlantic Coast will intensify
as it tracks northeastward to lie north of Newfoundland this
afternoon. Strong to gale force westerly winds over southern waters
will diminish slightly as the low moves further away from the
A second low will develop near the Bay of Fundy this evening and
intensify as it tracks northeastward tonight and Thursday. Gale force
northwesterly winds are expected to develop behind this disturbance
and an unseasonably cold air mass will bring freezing spray over most
northern and Atlantic coastal regions.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters. Freezing spray warnings are in effect for Fundy, Grand Manan,
Lurcher, southwestern shore, eastern shore, Fourchu, Northumberland
Strait, Gulf Magdalen - western half, Chaleur-Miscou and Anticosti.
