the Marine District.
By 3:00 a.m. ADT Saturday ridge located east of Newfoundland.

At 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight trough located over the St. Lawrence River.
By 10:00 a.m. ADT Saturday trough located over the Gulf of
St. Lawrence.

At 8:00 p.m. ADT Saturday approaching ridge located over New
England.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:11 AM ADT 21 September 2018 A rapidly intensifying low pressure system will track across Quebec
today and into Labrador on Saturday. Strong southerlies will
Develop across the region this evening and then increase to
southwesterly gales after midnight across all but the most southerly
waters. Storm force southwesterlies are expected over the Gulf of
St. Lawrence overnight and Saturday morning with storm force
westerlies persisting Saturday over Anticosti. Winds will become
moderate to strong northwesterlies in the wake of the system
Saturday.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect
Gulf-Magdalen and Anticosti. Gale warnings are in effect for Fundy,
Grand Manan, Lurcher, southwestern shore, eastern shore, Sable,
Fourchu, Banquereau, Cabot Strait, Northumberland Strait and
Chaleur-Miscou.
