Issued 10:00 AM AST 19 January 2018 Today Tonight and Saturday At 10:00 a.m. AST today low 988 mb located south of Laurentian Fan.
By 3:30 p.m. AST today low 987 mb located over the southern
Grand Banks.

At 3:00 a.m. AST Saturday low 990 mb located over southern Quebec.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Saturday low 987 mb located northeast of Anticosti
Island.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:49 AM AST 19 January 2018 A low pressure system currently south of Laurentian Fan will move
eastward to lie south of the Grand Banks by this evening. Strong to
gale force northerly winds over the southern district will diminish
as the disturbance moves away.

Another low pressure system from Central Quebec will track eastward
Saturday to lie near Anticosti Island by Saturday afternoon. Strong
to gale force southwesterly winds are forecast over the southern
district beginning Saturday morning and will persist until Sunday
morning.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Fundy, Grand Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank, southwestern
shore, LaHave Bank, West Scotian Slope, eastern shore, Sable, East
Scotian Slope, Fourchu and Laurentian Fan.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Northumberland Strait-eastern half, Gulf-Magdalen and
Anticosti.
