Issued 3:00 AM AST 23 February 2019 Today Tonight and Sunday At 3:00 a.m. AST today ridge located on a line north-south over
Quebec.
By 3:30 p.m. AST Sunday ridge located on a line north-south over
the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

At 10:00 a.m. AST Sunday warm front from low located on a line
northwest-southeast over Cape Cod.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Sunday warm front from low located on a line
northwest-southeast over Georges Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:42 AM AST 23 February 2019 A ridge west of the marine district is giving strong cold
northwesterlies today. Late today into this evening a low passing
east of Newfoundland will increase winds to possibly gale force over
easternmost water this evening. These northwesterlies will continue
to give freezing spray over open water for the northeastern section
of the marine district today and tonight but will gradually diminish
on Sunday.

A warm front ahead of a complex low pressure system will approach the
western marine district on Sunday. Gale to storm force
southeasterlies will spread into the western marine district after
noon on Sunday.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Grand Manan, Lurcher and Browns Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for
Fundy, Georges Bank, southwestern shore, LaHave Bank, West Scotian
Slope, eastern shore -western half, Sable - western half and East
Scotian Slope - western half.

In addition freezing spray warnings are in effect for eastern shore,
Sable, Fourchu, Banquereau, Cabot Strait, Gulf Magdalen -
northeastern half, and Anticosti.
