Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:54 AM ADT 14 March 2026 A low pressure system will approach the region from the west today tolie over Eastern Nova Scotia by evening. Strong to gale force
easterlies will develop ahead of the low then shift to strong to gale
force westerlies in its wake.
The low will move eastward overnight and lie over the Avalon
Peninsula Sunday morning.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Georges Bank, southwestern shore, LaHave Bank, West Scotian Slope,
eastern shore, Sable, East Scotian Slope, Fourchu, Banquereau,
Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait and Gulf-Magdalen.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Northumberland Strait - western half, Chaleur-Miscou and
Anticosti.
