Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 8:00 PM AST 11 December 2018 Tonight and Wednesday At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight departing ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Banquereau.

At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight intensifying low 998 mb located southwest
of Georges Bank.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Wednesday low 958 mb located over the southeastern
Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:53 PM AST 11 December 2018 An intensifying low pressure system southwest of Georges Bank tonight
will move to lie near Laurentian Fan Wednesday morning. This will
give strong to gale force north to northeasterlies to slope waters
which will increase to gale to storm force northerlies for
easternmost waters. Cold northerlies developing behind the low will
give freezing spray to parts of the north and western marine
district.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Laurentian Fan. Gale warnings are in effect for East Scotian Slope
and Banquereau-southeastern half.

In addition, freezing spray warnings are in effect for Fundy, Grand
Manan, Lurcher, Northumberland Strait, Gulf-Magdalen, Chaleur-Miscou
and Anticosti.
