the Grand Banks.

At 3:30 p.m. AST today ridge located over Quebec.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Saturday ridge located on a line north-south over
the central Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:00 PM AST 8 December 2023 A departing low pressure system northeast of Newfoundland is giving
gale force northeasterlies over eastern and northern waters.
Winds will diminish tonight into Saturday as a ridge moves in from
the west.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Banquereau, Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait, Gulf-Magdalen, and
Anticosti.
