At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight trough located over New England.
By 10:00 a.m. AST Saturday trough located from Cabot Strait to
East Scotian Slope.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:39 AM AST 14 December 2018 A ridge of high pressure over West Scotian Slope will move
southeastward today to lie south of the marine district this evening.
Strong westerlies over eastern and northern waters will back to
strong southwesterlies today as the ridge moves eastward.
A trough of low pressure approaching from the west will track across
the marine district on Saturday. Strong to gale force southwesterlies
will develop ahead of the trough tonight then veer to strong to gale
force northwesterlies on Saturday in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Fundy, Grand Manan, Banquereau, Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait -
northern half, Gulf Magdalen - northeastern half and Anticosti.
