Issued 1:59 PM EDT 22 May 2024 At 1:58 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm that is possibly producing a tornado. Damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall are also possible.

Orillia. The northern portion of the lake may be impacted within the next hour.

Issued 12:41 PM EDT 22 May 2024 Squalls with wind gusts up to 50 knots, frequent lightning and hail up to 3 centimetres are expected or occurring in the area.

A line of thunderstorms extending from Collingwood to Grand Valley at 12:41 P.M. EDT is moving east at 35 knots. This line of thunderstorms is estimated to move off of the lake by 2:41 P.M..
